Description of AgencyThis agency helps get services for persons meeting the eligibility criteria for the Mental Retardation Division or the Autism Division of the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN). There may be a waiting list for some services. Some service funding may only be available through the MR/RD Home and Community-based Waiver. Ask the agency for additional information about this waiver. This agency also provides early intervention services for children with delays or disabilities even though the children may not be DDSN eligible. Persons seeking services from the Head and Spinal Cord Injury Division of DDSN should call 1-866-867-3864 for an eligibility screening. Client Information
EligibilityPersons seeking services from this agency must be able to prove that they have mental retardation, autism, or other related disability. Children 0-6 yrs at risk for developmental disability may also be eligible.
