"Veterans Affairs function is to provide and assist ex-service personnel, their families, widows, orphans, and parents in securing benefits to which they are entitled under the provision of federal legislation and the code of laws of South Carolina. File and prosecute all claims which have compensation, hospitalization, education, training and insurance benefits due under federal legislation."
